Audience and local storage
The site sets no cookies and loads no ad network, no third-party statistics tool and no embedded social network.
We measure traffic with our own tool, hosted on our servers. Your IP address and browser are only used to compute, on the fly, an anonymous fingerprint that changes every day (with a secret key): the IP address is not stored and the fingerprint cannot be used to follow you from one day to the next or to trace it back to you. We only keep the page viewed, the domain of the referring site, the type of device (computer, phone, tablet) and this fingerprint, for 14 months. Robots and logged-in back-office members are not counted.
You can object to this measurement: if your browser sends the “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” signal, no data is recorded.
Your browser also keeps, on your device only, a few preferences needed for comfortable use: the light or dark theme, the language chosen and a visit indicator (valid for the duration of the tab). This information is not sent to us and can be erased at any time by clearing the site's data in your browser.
Recipients of the data
Your data is intended only for authorised Aktaion staff, within the limits of their duties. It is neither sold, rented nor transferred for commercial purposes.
We use a technical provider that acts on our behalf and under our instructions:
- LWS (Ligne Web Services), for hosting the site, the database and the professional mailbox.
Your data may also be disclosed if the law requires it, at the request of a competent authority.
Hosting and transfers outside Côte d’Ivoire
Our data is hosted in France, i.e. outside Côte d’Ivoire. This transfer is limited to what is necessary for the site to work and we make sure that the host provides a sufficient level of protection, in line with the requirements of Law no. 2013-450. No other transfer of your data outside Côte d’Ivoire takes place.
Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure:
- encrypted connection (HTTPS) between your browser and the site;
- back-office access restricted to named accounts, with rights limited according to each person's role and passwords never stored in clear text;
- two-step newsletter subscription, to prevent your address from being used by a third party;
- automatic deletion of audience data after 14 months.
In the event of a data breach likely to cause you harm, we will inform you and the protection authority, under the conditions set by law.
Your rights
Law no. 2013-450 gives you the following rights over your personal data:
- right to information: to know who processes your data and why;
- right of access: to obtain confirmation that your data is processed and to receive a copy of it;
- right to object: to refuse, for legitimate reasons, to have it processed, and to refuse at any time to receive marketing messages (every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link);
- right to rectification and deletion: to have inaccurate data corrected or to have data erased when keeping it is no longer justified.
To exercise these rights, write to us at info@aktaion.tech stating your request and attaching, if necessary, proof of identity (used only to verify your identity, then deleted). We reply as soon as possible, and no later than one month.
If, after contacting us, you believe your rights are not being respected, you may refer the matter to the personal data protection authority:
